The global harmonization of our sites and processes can be regarded as a significant success factor in recent years and therefore continues to be a focus of our measures.

Our customers are often global players on their markets. It is therefore all the more important for them to work with partners who operate on the same level as they do for their customers. In order to meet these in some cases very varying requirements and to provide the necessary flexibility, the constant further development of our harmonization process is important to us.

The globally uniform approach of Variosystems extends throughout the group in nearly all processes. The centerpiece of this is the installation of SAP S/4HANA. Thanks to this digitization solution, the transparency of the Variosystems processes is ensured throughout the value-added chain. We can control our production capacities globally and identify supply shortages at an early stage. The integrated requirements planning thus functions optimally worldwide. In addition, the benefits to our customers are also significant. Many also use SAP and appreciate the smooth data exchange as well as the value-added chains across different fields.

Owing to the global harmonization of our processes and the global presence of Variosystems, we can offer our customers maximum flexibility. It is important to us not to get into a dependency relationship regarding individual production sites. Every customer therefore decides for themselves which production site can work optimally for them. To enable this flexibility, the uniformity of our machine fleets is important alongside the processes. We can therefore work at each production site with the same equipment, the same processes and uniform Variosystems quality standards. This is the only way to enable quick product relocations or allocations to the various plants.

A dual source strategy within the Variosystems group minimizes the procurement risk and is already applied by some of our customers for selected essential products.

The extent of our global harmonization is reflected differently at the respective locations. While we in Switzerland place a focus on the further development of the LEAN management and on automation, we are strongly upgrading the machine fleets at our volume production sites (VPS). Thanks to these investments, we can optimally steer towards the already mentioned dual source assignments.
