The Variosystems facility in Ludbreg was founded in May 2019 with the aim of establishing a first central contact point and production facility in the European Union. This will eliminate intra-European customs duties on certain purchased parts as well as on products delivered to our EU customers.
The 65,000 ft² production site currently has two SMT lines and three THT systems and, above all, strengthens Variosystems' US branch as a volume production site to meet the increasing demand for electronic components. The last point was one of the main reasons for Variosystems to choose this location, because the driving distance to the Southlake facility is only about eight hours. The two airports of El Paso and Juárez are also located in the nearby neighborhood on both sides of the border.
The site is ideally located just ten minutes from DFW International Airport. The production processes SMT, THT, in-line and selective wave, high and low pressure overmolding, coating and potting are offered on an area of 70’000 ft². Due to high demand, the sixth production site was established in Fort Worth in 2020. With a production area of 32’000 ft² and only 45 minutes by car from Southlake, the focus of this facility is on box build and system integration.
Variosystems headquarters are located in beautiful Steinach, directly at Lake Constance. In Switzerland, all production processes in the field of electronics and component manufacturing as well as box build and system integration are offered to our customers. Important industrial zones for Variosystems such as German-speaking Switzerland, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, as well as Vorarlberg can be optimally served from here.
The Suzhou site offers a range of manufacturing solutions. A machine park of four SMT lines and a total of four THT lines (one selective and three wave lines) is available for this purpose. Electronic boards and assemblies are produced at the site. However, so-called "secondary operations" are also offered, such as the mechatronic production of ignition coils for engines, for example.
With 160'000 ft² and over 1'300 employees (900 in electronics production, 400 in cable production), Badalgama is the Variosystems Group's largest production site. All services including sales, purchasing, logistics, test engineering, quality management, etc. are offered on site.
