The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is a metropolitan area in the state of Texas that includes 11 counties. Its central location and international airport make it the economic and cultural center of North Texas and the fourth largest metroplex in the United States. The metropolitan region’s economy is focused on banking, trade, insurance, telecommunications, technology, energy, healthcare, medical research, transport, and logistics. Dallas-Fort Worth features the highest density of colleges and universities in Texas.
In 1999, Variosystems opened its first location in Southlake Texas, just 10 minutes from DFW Airport. The deciding factors to setup operations in DFW was its central location in the Unites States, the proximity to a major airport, and the abundance of a highly skilled work force.
After outgrowing the initial 24’000 ft2 building in 2006, Variosystems re-located to a state-of-the-art 70’000 ft2 facility still within the Southlake city limits. Variosystems’ process offering quickly expanded from electronic circuit board assembly to complete solutions, from design and test engineering to after sales support and end-of-life component management. Its current production processes include SMT and THT assembly, AOI and X-Ray in process inspection, Wave and Selective Wave soldering, potting, conformal coating and system integration.
Because of the increasing demand for integrated solutions, Variosystems opened its second DFW operation in Ft.Worth in 2020. The 32’000 ft2 facility serves as the center of excellence for electro-mechanical processes like overmolding, wire harness assembly and system integration. With more than 300 employees in the metroplex, Variosystems is one of the leading EMS companies in the south central region of the United States. Its main markets include medical technology, avionics, industrial automation, consumer electronics, automotive, energy, and audio/video applications.
