Industrialization Project Manager – EMS (m/f/d)

Variosystems is a global electronics services platform offering end-to-end solutions from product design to complete electronic assemblies and devices, including engineering services such as obsolescence risk management, design-to-cost, and design-for-testing services. We provide best-in-class customer support by understanding our customers’ requirements and bringing their ideas to life with our globally harmonized manufacturing capabilities in printed circuit board assemblies, wire harness assemblies, and box-build assemblies.

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our Industrial Engineering department. This IPM role ensures the full industrialization of new products from prototypes to series production on the platform with the NPI. They ensure efficient production, compliance with customer specifications, quality requirements and norms and provide jigs, tools, equipment, documents and reports. They mitigate risks and propose required improvements and changes.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Engineering – Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful completion of projects; manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, own project schedule/delivery targets.
  • Risk & Quality Management – Ensure all documentation required to fulfill compliance and quality requirements is available and up-to-date; proactively supports the risk management process with stakeholders and helps to mitigate risks.
  • Supervise production – Supervise the prototype and Q-series production and supports all process steps in the industrialization phase; collaboration with operators, process engineers and production specialists; manages PRT’s through job coaching.
  • Process Optimization – Helps to optimize the processes and procedures; helps to optimize the production processes in close cooperation with the process engineers until the product can be transferred to series production.
  • Stakeholder management – Ensures communication with stakeholders and the exchange of the required information between operators and customer organization.

 

Required qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial training or 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP (ERP systems) and familiarity with the Microsoft 365 environment will be considered added advantages.
  • Knowledge regarding mechanical and production processes.
  • Sound electronics and mechanical knowledge to support industrialization activities.
  • Comprehensive industrialization experience with in-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
