Variosystems Germany: Developments and perspectives at the Geseke site

One and a half years after the acquisition of Heicks Industrieelektronik, Variosystems has successfully integrated the Geseke site into its international network and has established itself as a co-creation partner for highly complex electronics solutions in Germany. With its EN/AS 9100 certification and many years of expertise in PCB coating, the site contributes key strengths to the Variosystems Group. During this year’s summer party, company founder Rudolf Heicks, who built up the site and shaped it over many years, stepped down from the management team. His entrepreneurial commitment and technical expertise continue to provide an important foundation for the further development of the Geseke location within the Variosystems Group.

How successful integration takes place in everyday life

Today, the German location is closely integrated into Variosystems’ international collaboration network. The exchange with colleagues across Europe, North America, and Asia, the sharing of knowledge, as well as new responsibilities and processes are just as important for successful integration as the implementation of a new ERP and MES system.

”You can feel that we’re part of something bigger. The integration of Heicks Industrieelektronik into the Variosystems Group has opened entirely new opportunities for both German and international customers.”

— Christoph Schade, Customer Portfolio Manager.

What competencies distinguish the German Variosystems site?

As part of the international Variosystems network, the Geseke site plays an important role. Customers in Germany benefit from local support combined with the capabilities of a globally operating organization. These include:

  • International engineering and manufacturing capacities
  • An expanded service portfolio covering the entire value chain
  • The ability to support projects holistically, from development through to serial production

The German subsidiary is also one of the Variosystems locations particularly well positioned for the aerospace sector thanks to its EN/AS 9100 certification:

  • Steinach, Switzerland
  • Mendrisio, Switzerland
  • Southlake, USA
  • Geseke, Germany

Its long-standing technological expertise in conformal coating, particularly in parylene coating, further expands the company’s capabilities for highly critical applications. This is also especially relevant in the Aerospace & Defense sector, where electronics must be reliably protected against environmental influences.

As a result, Variosystems Germany continues to strengthen its position as an EMS provider for demanding and highly regulated industries.

Making integration visible

The facility itself is also evolving. Ongoing modernization initiatives underline the commitment to continuously advancing the integration of the Geseke site into the international Variosystems network.

What strategic importance does the Geseke site have for Variosystems?

For Variosystems, Geseke is a strategically important location due to its technological expertise, high manufacturing quality, and proximity to customers, particularly in the Aerospace & Defense sectors.

Over the past one and a half years, Variosystems has successfully positioned itself as a capable EMS provider in Germany. The company will continue to strategically expand its presence in the German market while further strengthening its role within the global Variosystems network.
