Two new certifications strengthen our North American manufacturing network

Variosystems continues to expand its capabilities for highly regulated markets in North America. The Southlake, Texas, site has achieved AS 9100 certification, while the Juárez, Mexico, site is now certified to ISO 13485. Together, these certifications broaden the company’s support for Aerospace & Defense and Medtech & Life Science customers from industrialization and production launch to scalable volume manufacturing.

The certifications complement Variosystems’ existing network of specialized manufacturing sites. Several locations across Europe, North America, and Asia already hold industry-specific certifications for the aerospace, defense, and medical technology sectors. The addition of certified capabilities in Southlake and Juárez gives customers more options to manufacture complex products within North America while retaining access to the expertise and capacity of a global network.

AS 9100 certification confirms that Southlake meets the aerospace and defense industry’s stringent requirements for quality management, process reliability, and traceability. Clearly defined procedures, systematic risk management, and comprehensive documentation provide the foundation for reliable electronics production in an industry where quality and safety leave no room for compromise.

With ISO 13485 certification, JuĂĄrez has established a quality management system designed for medical device manufacturing and the associated regulatory requirements. The certification enables the site to support Medtech customers through controlled, documented, and repeatable processes and provides a strong foundation for transferring complex products into volume production.

Customers benefit from a more harmonized manufacturing footprint and aligned quality processes across sites and regions. Consistent standards simplify collaboration, reduce the effort required to qualify additional manufacturing locations, and allow projects to be allocated and scaled more flexibly. As requirements change, production volumes can be adjusted or distributed across other qualified sites within the network.

Building resilient supply chains through nearshoring

Southlake and JuĂĄrez also create additional nearshoring opportunities for the North American market. Close customer proximity, regional manufacturing capacity, and internationally recognized quality standards enable shorter supply routes, faster coordination, and more resilient supply chains. At the same time, customers remain connected to a global network that provides additional capacity and specialized expertise when needed.

“These new certifications allow us to support our North American customers even more effectively. They gain access to specialized, certified manufacturing capabilities within the region while remaining connected to our global production network.”
