The opening of the new site marked a significant milestone in our European growth strategy. During the event, we provided our guests with first-hand insights into the capabilities and strategic role of the new location. The program included guided tours of the production areas as well as personal discussions with the local team and management.
Among the honored guests were Her Excellency Beatrice Schaer, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Croatia; Mr. Slobodan Mikac, Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Zurich, Mr. Neven Bosilj Mayor of the City of Varaždin and Mr. Krunoslav Lukačić the chairman of Varaždin County Council. Their presence highlighted both the regional and international relevance of the investment.
“With Varaždin, we are not only expanding our production footprint, but we are also creating a hub for true system integration. A place where mechanical and electronic components come together into fully integrated solutions, close to our customers and supported by a highly skilled team.” explains Josipa Maršanić, Managing Director of Variosystems Croatia.
Designed as a Competence Center for Box Build Assembly, the Varaždin site extends well beyond traditional electronics production. It enables the integration of electronic and mechanical components into complete systems, including assembly, testing, and quality assurance, meeting the highest standards required by demanding industries such as Industrial & Automation and Medtech & Life Science.
During the opening event, attendees were able to experience the transformation from individual components to complex, ready-to-use systems, underlining the technological depth and integration capabilities of the site.
Variosystems has been present in Croatia for seven years. The decision to establish the site in the region was a deliberate one: strong industrial capabilities, mechanical know-how, a highly skilled workforce and excellent logistical connectivity provide a solid foundation. Today, the facility plays a key role in strengthening our European footprint and supports customers particularly across the DACH region in accelerating their time-to-market.
The investment also underlines our commitment to nearshoring, engineering-driven integration, and long-term customer partnerships.
The new Competence Center is designed to support further growth. Over the coming years, we plan to continue expanding the site, creating additional jobs for engineers, assembly operators, and technical specialists. The goal is to continuously enhance its total solution offering and deepen the seamless integration of mechanical and electronic systems.
With the official opening in Varaždin, Variosystems strengthens its long-term commitment to Croatia and its role as a trusted global partner for innovative electronics solutions.
